Kimsey Stewart was a guard, named one of Coach John Patrick’s most outstanding players. 
 
He was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity and the Lords Club. 
 
Stewart was the football head coach at LaGrange High School in 1943 and 1944, and led the team to a North Georgia Championship title. He coached at Spalding High School from 1948-1952 and earned several Region 4A titles.   
 
Stewart was inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 1961 for his career of high school coaching. His record was 125-38-5.
