Edwin “Ed” Clement was a four-year pitcher for the Stormy Petrels.

Clement was a leader each year he played and recorded several strikeouts for each game he pitched. In 1936 he led the Petrels to a 5-0 victory over Florida after recording 13 strikeouts.
He was a member of Alpha Lambda Tau fraternity, the Lords Club, and the O Club. His older brother Heywood “Monk” and twin brother Hugh were both star Oglethorpe athletes as well.
