Stanley Goldberg contributed to Oglethorpe Basketball even as a Freshman, averaging 13.3 points per game (ppg) and 4.9 rebounds per game (rpg). He was voted onto the All-Conference First Year Team and was Honorable Mention for the All-Conference Team. Pounding in the post, he led the conference in free throws made (ftm) at 122. If they recorded charges, he would have also led the league in those, as Stanley had a knack for help defense, often drawing several charges a game. He continued his contribution through his Sophomore year where he set the single season conference record for free throws made at 169, helping OU lead the league in free throw percentage and assists.

After taking his Junior year off, Stanley came back motivated for his Senior year and was voted onto the All-Conference Second Team and won Player of the Week honor. He averaged third in the league with 18.2 ppg and sixth in the league with 7 rpg. He also was 4th in field goal percentage at 55%, and even came in at 15th in assists. Stanley also broke his own conference record that year with 189 free throws made, including one game where he went 16 for 17, which is still the second all-time single game performance in conference history. Stanley helped OU again lead the league in free throw percentage and assists. In just three years at Oglethorpe, Stanley ranks ninth in ppg and top 20 in total points with 1136 points. He is still 2nd in the conference for total free throws made with 481.

After graduating from Oglethorpe in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Stanley ventured to New York City where he joined a startup legal technology company and met his wife, Lori. After helping grow the company nationwide by standing up scalable operations, Stanley went on to become Chief Product Officer, creating a robust communications platform for legal events and building the largest video repository of civil litigation in the world. In 2015, he left his job to run Marketing Technology for Cox Communications, where in his second year won an achievement award for his impact. In 2017, Stanley was then offered and took an expanded role in Operations, overseeing Cox Communications’ Contact Center Technology.

Stanley lives in Dunwoody, GA with his wife, Lori, and two sons, Max (8) and Henry (6). He still enjoys playing basketball, now at the Atlanta Jewish Community Center (JCC), as well as coaching his sons in each of their sports. He is an Associate Board Member of The Packaged Good, a non-profit whose mission is to instill good in children, and a Sports Council Member at the Marcus JCC of Atlanta.
