Hall of Fame
A Tampa native, Danny moved to Atlanta in Spring 2004 to attend Oglethorpe University. Danny played on the golf team for all 4 years he attended, but more importantly made friendships that will last a lifetime.
Swanick is listed in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's (SCAC) top 20 men's golf moments for his fourth place finish in the 2006 NCAA Championship, after leading Oglethorpe to a conference title that year. He was named an All-American in 2005 and 2006, and to the GCAA third team then first team respectively. In 2006 he made the All-SCAC second team, then was a 2007 honorable mention and all-academic.Â
After graduating Oglethorpe in 2007 with a degree in Communication and Rhetoric Studies, Danny moved back to Tampa where he still lives with his wife Grace. He is a Food Broker for Reser's Fine Foods, and gets asked what that is just about as often as people say they’ve never heard of Oglethorpe and ask where it is.
