Ryan Vickers was an all-around Stormy Petrel.
Vickers was a four-year letterman and captain of the men's basketball team, as well as a two-year letterman for men's golf. Â Vickers posted 1,381 career points and still holds multiple top five and top ten program records in steals, scoring percentage, blocks, rebounds, and scoring. In 1995 he made 22 rebounds in a single game, a record that still stands as best in program history. He also holds the highest career three-point field goal percentage. Vickers is the sixth highest scoring freshman of all time.
Vickers was named a 1993 All-SCAC honorable mention, 1994 All-SCAC second team, and then All-SCAC 1996 first team. He led the 1994 team to a conference title.Â
Vickers grew up in Kentucky, where he and his brother played basketball for Canton High School. Ryan currently serves Intuitive as Director of Ion Commercialization-China, based in Michigan.Â
