Oglethorpe University

Patrick “Pat” Stephens received a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Tech.  

He played Basketball in his 4th year at Oglethorpe, and his father Patrick Dawson Stephens is also in the hall of fame for basketball. The 1958-59 men's basketball team is the winningest team in program history with a 21-1 record. The Petrels claimed the GIAC title and had the best defensive average in the NAIA. 

Stephens was an assistant basketball coach at the University of Georgia from 1966-1970, right before fellow Oglethorpe legend Jack Berkshire.  

Stephens was born July 5th, 1936. He and his wife Sandra married in July of 1967. Stephens passed away on March 1st, 2002
