Josh Rosendahl ’07 started his started his journey at Oglethorpe in the Fall of 2003. He set foot on campus excited to join Jon Akin and the ’03 class in helping the soccer and athletic programs extend their roots within the University and grow within what’s now the Brookhaven community.  Josh chose Oglethorpe not only for the opportunity to continue his soccer career but also for its rich history, dynamic culture, superior academics, and close proximity to family.

Josh was a four-year starter from 2003-2007 finishing as Oglethorpe’s all-time single season assist record holder in 2006 while ultimately earning the all-time leading assists record and leading the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in 2006 with the most assists. Josh earned All Team SCAC Honors and Player of the week twice.

During his time at Oglethorpe, Josh was a brother of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity where he held various positions including Risk Manager and took part in the InterFraternity Council.  Josh graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. From there, he was able to take his business and economic background and creative skillsets and join one of Atlanta’s larger mortgage lenders, Brightpath Mortgage in 2008. Today, Josh serves as their SVP of IT and Operations and enjoys the ever-changing market and today’s new technologies.

While Josh enjoyed his time at Oglethorpe and setting new marks on the soccer field, his greatest mark at OU was meeting his future bride, Nikki Rosendahl, and later marrying her in 2012.  Today, Nikki and Josh reside in Cumming, GA, and have a funny and handsome 4 year old son, Noah, who too hopes to become a soccer sensation.  Their party of three like to spend their free time with family, grandparents, the lake or beach, and their new favorite place…Disney World.
