Terra Winthrop received her associates degree from Pasco Hernando Community College in her hometwon of Port Richey, Florida before heading to Oglethorpe to continue her education and soccer career.  
 
Winthrop holds the program record for goals in a single season, scoring 20 in 1994. She ranks fourth all-time in program history in scoring and points, with 29 goals and 64 points.  She ranks 2nd for points in a single season with 44 that same year. She was named to the 1994 All-SCAC first team and became the program's first ever conference player of the week. Winthrop was the leading scorer for the 1995 season as well, earning All-SCAC second team. For over fifteen years she also held the 10th best conference record for points per game, averaging 2.67.  


Terra and her wife Katina had four children and also served as foster parents in Terra’s hometown of Port Richey, Florida. Terra served as a corporal in the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years, primarily as a school resource officer. She was also an avid youth volunteer, coaching high school softball, step teams, and other activities. Terra and Katina were foster parents and adoptive parents as members of the Foster Adoptive Association. Terra was also active in her Church’s youth ministries, at Worship Life Church. After Leaving the Sheriff’s Office in 2017, Terra opened Winthrop Bail Bonds in 2018 "where she could continue her love of helping those who made poor choices but needed that hand to lift them back up."


Terra passed away on November 27, 2020, at 47 years old.
